Mounds of Earth is a instrumental/experimental group that was formed in the summer of 2011 in Costa Mesa CA,
by lead guitarist Barry Sexton and rhythm guitarist Pedro Mancillas. They recruited drummer, longtime friend, Tommy Steenrod and high school bandmate Ashton Hayes on bass.
